I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology from Dublin Business School and a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre.
I specialise in working with people suffering from anxiety.
Anxiety is something we all experience at certain points in our lives. If you have found yourself obsessing about the future, ruminating over the past, feeling uncomfortable, tense, distracted and frustrated – you have, to one degree or another, experienced anxiety.
For a lot of people, anxiety has a relatively short life-cycle and does not cause enough suffering for them to seek help.
However, for some, these encounters can be very intense and long-lived. It can have a substantial impact upon their lifestyle, sleeping patterns, relationships, work, school and everyday activities.
For others the anxiety they experience may not be connected to anything specific, or it may seem disproportionate to the situations that appear to be causing it. This generalised or free-floating anxiety can be very distressing, as it can seem like there is no clear path to its resolution.
As a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist, I am trained in and understand the importance of utilising various approaches when it comes to working with anxiety; from humanistic, to cognitive and mindfulness-based therapies.
Whatever you may be going through at the moment, we can work together to help you rediscover a sense of calm and well-being in your life, free from the controlling force of anxiety. Feel free to contact me through the contact form below to talk about this some more or to make an appointment.
