Self-Help for Anxiety

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

~Carl Rogers

On this page you will find various forms of ‘self help for anxiety’ – just some links to videos and information that I have found interesting and useful over the years, as well as some blog posts I have written.

It may be difficult sometimes to reach out for help from family, friends or a professional. And so I hope that the resources below will be of use to you, for the time being. They may also reveal that, whatever you may be going through, you are not alone and help is available – if you can find some way to ask for it.

From my own blog

Through my own personal experience, as well as my training and practice as a psychotherapist, I have gathered quite a lot of tools and insights when it comes to self-help for anxiety. You will find some of these resources in the blog post section below, which I will be updating regularly.

My recommendations from Youtube

Below are some interesting and insightful talks that I have found very useful on many topics, including anxiety, thought and emotion, mindfulness, and meditation. I have found many of them to be profoundly trans-formative and practical – and they all include ideas that you can put into practice yourself, today.

Guided meditations from Youtube

Below I have compiled a few videos to help guide you in meditation. You may or may not wish to listen to them. However, I decided to include these guided mediations as I have found them to be – both for myself and others – very useful ‘self-help for anxiety’ practices. If you do have some quiet-time to yourself, I would encourage you to give it a try.

If you’re interested in learning a little more about mindfulness, I have published some posts on this topic here.
